Uasin Gishu County Women Representative Eusilah Ngeny has said that she will give civic education first priority and champion for more funds to empower women.
Speaking on Wednesday at the Boma Inn Eldoret during the Launch of Protect a life campaign, Ngeny said this civic eduction is needed so women understand how to be self endowed.
She pledged to work with women and youth,who are the most vulnerable members of society to ensure they are empowered and self reliant. Ngeny assured women that she was determined to see them empowered.
The launch was organized by Unilever Kenya and Joyful Women organization(JOYWO). Her Excellency Rachel Ruto,who is also JOYWO’s patron, presided over the launch. The event was also attended by Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson Mandago and Nandi County Women Rep Zipporah Kering.
