Uasin Gishu:Deputy President Skips Women Rep’s Homecoming Party

Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday skipped presiding over Uasin Gishu County Women Member of Parliament Eusilah Ngeny’s thanksgiving celebrations held at her home Kabenes,Ziwa.

The Deputy President was expected to be the Chief Guest but did not attend.

The official communication from DPPS said the,Deputy President William Ruto together with President Uhuru Kenyatta were meeting with members of Trade Mark East Africa at State House, Nairobi.

The celebration was attended by over 30 Jubilee Legislators that included National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, Majority Leader Aden Duale, Senators Kipchumba Murkomen , Charles Ketter and Women rep Zipporah Kering.

Governor Jackson Mandago led local leaders Senator Isaac Melly,Oscar Sudy(Kapseret),Edwin Barchilei(Soy),Silas Tiren(Moiben),Samwel Chepkonga(Ainabkoi),James Bett(Kesses) and quite a number of MCA’s.

All legislators who were present at the Celebrations continued their onslaught on what they termed “rogue governors.”

“The governors have less than two weeks to fly the national flag and enjoy the ‘His Excellency’ titles. That title will remain with the President and the First Lady. We are going to bring them down to earth.” Majority Leader Aden Duale said it was time the National Assembly brought sanity to the country and warned: “You can run and hide in the corridors of justice, but you will end up in jail.”

At the same meeting, Elgeiyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen hit out at the Judiciary,accusing it of interfering with the work of Parliament.

  1. Fearful legislators! Can we also have the auditors report on the use of CDF in each of the 390 constituencies in Kenya,and every MP should be held accountable for any misuse.
