Uasin Gishu County Women Representative Eusilah Ngeny will hold a homecoming party next weekend 22nd February at her home Ziwa ten months after being elected County Woman Member of Parliament.
Ngeny will host Party members, MPs and other leaders and professionals from Uasin Gishu County. Speaking to us on phone, her P.A said the homecoming will be held at her home in Kabenes. He said Deputy President William Ruto is expected to be the chief quest. He also said they had also invited cabinet secretaries and top county leaders.
The controversial Ziwa-Eldoret road politics and the crumbling ICC cases are expected to take the centre stage at the event. The organisers said more than 20 MPs have confirmed their attendance. The event is also expected to be attended by thousands of residents from six constituencies in Uasin Gishu County.
It is expected that the MP who is a first timer in parliament would also take the chance to thank her constituents for the support they gave her in the last general elections.
This comes amid questions that have been raised on her perfomance record,the MP has been accused of disengaging from her constituents ever since her election. The Hansard also shows she has only spoken Five times on the floor of the National Assembly.
