Uasin Gishu County Assembly Majority leader Josphat Ledama Lowoi on Saturday defended their study tour to Rwanda even as residents continued to lash out at what they termed ‘adverse’ spending by the assembly.
County Speaker Isaac Terer and Lowoi headed the MCAs delegation on the Rwandan foreign tour which majority residents condemned terming the benchmarking trip as “debauchery” of county resources.
The MCAs have been under fire for organizing the foreign junket while residents continue to suffer due to bad roads and other perrenial problems.
On his facebook page Lowoi admitted that the trip may not have been economical according to some residents but what they had learned from Rwanda on governance has really opened their minds.
Lowoi said they were better equipped to offer the best to the residents of the county.
