Governor Jackson Mandago has urged the youth to avoid excessive drinking and other activities that puts them in conflict with the law.
Addressing an empowerment meeting in Ngeny Primary,Soy Constituency, the Governor advised the youth to engage in activities that will improve their livelihoods.
He said the county government was committed to develop programmes that will improve on the economy and create employment for the youth.
Mandago particularly urged the youth to shun drinking and other social vices that may distract their focus and engage in economic activities like horticulture.
He further added that the county government had prohibited the issuance of licences to new bars. Mandago said he was ready to sacrifice his future political career in his quest to tackle drinking among the youth.
