Uasin Gishu County Governor Aspirant, Dr Julius Bittok, Fundraises 6.5 Million

Dr Julius Bittok on
Friday evening hosted a Sh
10,000 per plate campaign
fundraising dinner at the Sirikwa
Hotel, Eldoret.

This was in his preparation for a
tough gubernatorial contest ahead,
before the much awaited next
general elections.

Bittok who still leads in the
opinion polls is facing a tough
contest battling for the URP nomination with Jackson Mandago whose ratings have rose in the recent past and Vesca Kangogo.

It has also been rumoured that Higher Education Minister Prof Margaret Kamar is set to decamp from ODM to contest the Uasin Gishu Governorship on a URP ticket after claims of a closed door meeting with Eldoret North MP and URP Party Leader William Rutto last week.

Bittok attended the event
accompanied by his wife Janet. It is
estimated almost 500
people attended the event.

He also officially unveiled his concrete manifesto for the county at the event.
The big dinner raised an estimated 6.5million.
